AfroBridge

Launching in Berlin soon

Real people, checked or vouched for.

Made for Africans in Germany and back home.

Meet Ghanaians, Nigerians and other Africans in Germany for dating or friendship. Before anyone can message you, a member who knows them has vouched for them, or a real person has checked their photos.

We open the app city by city. Reserve your spot and we'll tell you when it's your city's turn.

We only use it to tell you when your city opens.

Everyone is checked or vouched for. Not just some people.

Every account starts with a code sent to your phone. Then there are two ways in, and both happen before you can like or message anyone.

  • Invited by a member

A member who knows you in real life sends you an invite. Their invite is their word for you.

  • Photo checked

Found us yourself? Take a photo copying a pose we pick at random. A real person compares it with your profile photos.

No ID documents and no face scans. Your pose photo is deleted as soon as it's been checked.

Photos are enough. A video says more.

Every profile works with photos alone. Anyone who wants can add a video intro of 15 to 30 seconds, so you hear their voice and their laugh before you say hello. Nobody has to.

Moved here three years ago. I love jollof Sundays, long walks at Tempelhof and anyone who can make me laugh in two languages.

Write in your language. Read theirs in yours.

Pick your language once. Messages arrive already translated, and the original is always one tap away. English, German and French to start, with Twi, Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa added where translation supports them.

  1. Hi! I loved your video. Have you lived in Berlin for long?

    Translated from German ·

  2. Thank you! About three years now. Still learning German, so this translation helps a lot.

Sent in English · Lena reads it in German

  3. Ha, that's how it should be. Want to grab a coffee at Markthalle Neun on Saturday?

    Translated from German ·

Dating, friends, or both.

Not everyone is here for romance. Some people just want their people: someone to cook with, watch the match with or explore a new city with. Pick a mode and switch whenever you like.

For something real, with someone who gets where you're from and where you are now.

  • Long walks
  • Church
  • Highlife
  • Serious about it

Built for here and home.

AfroBridge is made for Africans in Germany, and for people in Ghana and Nigeria who want to meet them. Not as an afterthought in an app made for someone else.
